Meet The Members of Berkshire Goldendoodles
Every dog in our program is considered a pet, first and foremost. We do not typically rehome our dogs after they retire from breeding, unless we believe that they’d be better suited elsewhere.
It is because of this practice that we are unable to produce as many litters as the majority of breeders. However, we have a pet-first policy that we choose to honor. We are extending our breeding program by use of guardian homes, which you can learn more about on our FAQ’s page.
The dogs we breed come from a long line of health-tested ancestors. Additionally, we test for hereditary conditions involving hips, eyes, heart, elbows and patella in all of our breeding dogs. Each member of our breeding program has also undergone DNA testing for hundreds of other potential conditions. We use our knowledge of our dogs’ DNA to strategically breed for size, coat, and color.
